New 'Preparation to Teach' qualification in NI

Lifelong Learning UK in conjunction with Department of Employment and Learning Northern Ireland and University of Ulster will be overseeing the pilot of a new 'Preparation to Teach' qualification for the work based learning sector and for part-time FE staff, who are teaching for more than four hours a week. The pilot will consist of 30 tutors and trainers and will be evaluated in July 2009 by the University of Ulster with anticipated roll out for the work based learning sector in September 2009 and for FE in September 2010.
